  I bought a domain through GoDaddy and expected I could just transfer it without any issues. When I tried to do that it says ….it’s ‘new’ and I can’t transfer the domain until 4/22. But I don’t want to wait another 3 wks to start building my site. Can I build it temporarily as a draft until I can transfer my site in 3 wks

  Hi there,

  Yes, you can start building your website as a draft over here using the WEBSITENAME.wordpress.com website/subdomain.

  Then once the transfer is done you will link your domain with the WordPress.com subdomain and set it up as Primary Domain and all the content will switch over yo your new domain.
