  Can I transfer my domain after I set up my website? I just purchased it today.

  Please let me know. Thanks!

  Do you mean you just purchased a domain today? Did you buy it here at WordPress.com? That would make setting up a site here with that domain quite easy. If you bought the domain somewhere else then there is a 60 day transfer lock before you can move it to WordPress.com (or anywhere else for that matter).
  To use that domain at WordPress.com would entail purchasing a Personal/Premium/Business plan here and then you could map the domain to a WordPress.com site.

  No, I purchased it through GoDaddy. I forgot WP sold domains until it was too late.

  I wouldn’t be asking about a transfer if I purchased it through WP.

  Hi there,

  You won’t be able to transfer it right away, as all new domains are transfer locked for 60 days after purchase. This applies to all domains, no matter where you buy them.

  But you can set up your site with us on a free address, and once you’re ready you can point the domain to us using our domain mapping upgrade. That way your site will already appear at your domain. Then you can transfer it later once the transfer lock expires at GoDaddy.
