  Do I need to transfer my domain to set up a blog on wordpress?

  Hi mobilehigh5

  Domain transfer is not necessary to setup your blog. You can signup under free plan or any of the paid plan you will be getting a free domain like example.wordpress.com and If you want to transfer or create your site you can easily do it when you think you are finish with the site Work then you can either map your existing domain or you can transfer your old domain to us to use it with the site on WordPress.com.
