Domain transfer

  I have a website on Squarespace. I’d like to re-design it through WordPress, then transfer the domain over so that I can keep the same address. Is this possible; to work on a website through WP and get it finished before transferring the domain over?

  Hi there,

  That is not an issue – what you could do is create and a site on WordPress.com. You are assigned a .wordpress.com subdomain whenever you create a site with WordPress.com, so you can just use that as the domain as you build the site and determine whether or not this is the platform you want to use. Once you are done developing the site, you can make the decision to transfer the domain over:
