  Do I pay the same subscription fees assessed by my current registrar if I transfer my domain name?

  Hi ankumaspress,

  Custom domains are a feature of paid plans on WordPress.com. The credit included in each one will cover the cost of the transfer and we automatically renew it for another year once the transfer process is successfully complete.

  After the first year, your domain will renew at the regular cost — this may differ from your current provider. The price depends on the extensions we have a list of those here:
