DOMAIN TRANSFER
-
Hi, I transferred my domain from google to wordpress (I bought it on google domains in April, so was good until April 2020) I transferred my domain to WordPress and bought a Personal Plan but decided to cancel it. Now, is my domain cancelled as well? Even though it is paid through 04/2020??
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

When you canceled and refunded your domain, you received a full refund.
We can recover your domain, but you will need to pay the $18 registration again.
I have sent the payment request to the email address on your account.

Hi there, I had bought a google domain, good until 2021, and transferred it to wordpress and signed up for a plan, I cancelled the plan because i wasn’t ready to build the site, but lost my domain! I was sent a payment request for domain recovery which I paid, but I don’t see the domain in my wordpress account! Why is that? I also am not sure why I essentially paid twice for this domain. Please advise!

Hi there,
So, the domain is registered through 4/18/20. Therefore, once the domain is restored for you, that is the domain subscription’s expiration date. As staff-blorbo mentioned, you had to repay for the domain since you canceled it and received a full refund. All records show that the domain is registered up to 4/2020, not until 2021:

Hi, I made the payment to restore the domain but I still do not see it under my domains in my WordPress account! HELP!?

Unfortunately, we could have recovered the domain for you for just $18 a week ago when we replied.
Two days ago, the domain crossed into the Redemption Period: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/#redemption-period
This means that now the domain can only be recovered for an additional $80 fee, which we have no control over.
I have sent another payment request for this added fee to the email address on your account.
Please do be timely with this, as the next step will be permanent cancellation, at which point the domain cannot be recovered and our only option will be to refund what you’ve paid so far.
