Domain transfer

  Hello, I’m in the first few steps of working on a Business page with WP.
  I’m not quite ready to transfer my domain to WP yet because I would like to work on the site before committing to anything. So, when I get to the section for creating a domain or using a domain that I own, am I able to create a new domain with WP as a place holder? If so, am I able to then replace that place holder domain with the domain that I own, when/if I decide to publish with WP?

  Create a free site as a placeholder. The address you’re given won’t matter too much if when you’re ready you’re going to upgrade to a paid plan to map/transfer a domain you already own to that WordPress.com site.
