domain transfer and email
-
Is it true that if I transfer my domain to wordpress.com, I’ll have to maintain the email address attached to that domain with another host? Is there any way for the email function attached to the domain to transfer, as well?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That’s a great question! When you transfer your domain to WordPress.com, your email service doesn’t move automatically. You’d need to either reconnect your existing email or set up a new one after the transfer. You can find out more about it here:
https://wordpress.com/support/add-email/add-other-email/To take a closer look, could you please let me know which email service or subscription you’re currently using for your domain?
Looking forward to your reply!

I’m hosted by Netfirms. The email address, which I’d like to keep without maintaining two hosts, is (email visible only to moderators and staff)

Thanks for clarifying that, @stevena82f141db6!
If you’d like to keep using your Netfirms email, you can continue doing so by connecting it through DNS records once your domain is hosted here on WordPress.com.
Alternatively, if you’d prefer to manage both your domain and email subscriptions under the same platform, you can set up a Titan Professional Email here on WordPress.com once your domain has been transferred. You can read more about it here:

Please let us know if you have any questions or need any extra help, and we’ll be happy to assist you.
