Domain transfer away from wordpress

  Hi there, I am an invited user who wishes to transfer a domain away from wordpress. I have followed the support instructions on domain transfers but have been unable to see or find all the relevant steps such as Transfer ownership to another registrar from the drop down menu. Is this because invited users have no access to these functions or is there something I am missing?
  The original domain was registered by Michael Ives who then invited me to the account so the domain can be transferred. Maybe only he can do the transfers? Please help!

  Yes, that is the reason.

  You must be the owner / administrator of the blog in order to make such changes. If your friend Michael is the owner then he can transfer the blog to you so that you will be able to make the domain transfer.
