Domain Transfer blocked

  Hi,
  I recently went through the process to transfer my domain (woolfordscott.com) to my new registrar. I got the Auth code and forwarded it to the new registrar. I then received an email from (email visible only to moderators and staff) claiming to be WordPress, informing me that the transfer is denied because of Private Registration. I’m confused, since I went through the steps to sort that out. Can you please advise if the transfer is actually blocked?

  Hi there,

  I checked your account and see that privacy protection is still enabled. I just disabled it for you. Go ahead and try to proceed with the transfer and let me know if you have any issues.

  Hi Darnell. Can you check it again? It seems to keep defaulting back to enabled. I just went and checked, and Privacy is enabled again!

  Yes, indeed it was still enabled, which is unusual. I looked into this and discovered that there was a related issue from our registry partners end that we have been working to fix. Anyhow, I was able to do a workaround to disable the privacy protection, so you should be able to go. Sorry for the inconvenience!
