Domain Transfer CNAME Question
-
Hi,
I am writing because I am trying to switch my WordPress domain to my new suqarespace.com website and transfer simplyjessicamarie.com to point to my squarespace page.
My friend went through a similar process and sent me images of what her DNS and CNAME looked like. In her zone file, the only CNAME she had was points to http://www.squarespace6.com. I entered that in mine under the www section, but I still have a lot of other information in my CNAME like calendar, email, fax, files, etc. Can I delete those or should I leave them?
If I type simplyjessicamarie.com into the web browser, nothing pops up (it says the page is unavailable). I would love some assistance about how to most accurately make sure that my site will be pointed at my squarespace.com page. I know it can take up to 48 hours so I need to be patient, but I would like to launch my new site on Monday, so I would love to have this figured out soon!
Thanks so much,

Your domain redirects to Squarespace now. Make sure you follow these last steps http://help.squarespace.com/customer/portal/articles/794484-domain-mapping-with-1-1#claim-your-domain-on-your-squarespace-site to complete the domain mapping.

If you don’t need them you can delete those.
