Domain Transfer Code Issue

    I am trying to transfer my domain to another registrar. When I click on the Update Settings and Continue button to unlock the domain, I get the following error: An error occurred while trying to send the Domain Transfer code. Please try again or Contact Support if you continue to have trouble.

    I get the same error when I click on I just want the code for now link.

    The issue is that the WordPress.com user account that you are posting from is not the owner of that upgrade.

    Typically this happens because you ended up with a second WordPress.com user account at some point and THAT account is the one that was used to purchase the upgrade. You will need to log into that second account in order to transfer the domain.
