Domain transfer declined/can't see site

    I was trying to transfer my domain to Wix because WordPress templates became too limited for what I needed for my site. After a few days, I received the following message from WordPress: “The transfer you requested has been declined because you opted-in to a transfer lock for 60 days when you agreed to the WordPress.com Change of Registrant policy.”

    I am not sure why this happened. I don’t know what this “Change of Registrant policy.” I assumed since the transfer failed that my WordPress site would still remain intact. However, when I visited it today (emilymullin.com), it brings up a Wix page that says “Looks Like This Domain Isn’t Connected To A Website Yet!” I assumed that this happened because I had changed my domain servers to Wix. I’ve now changed them back to WordPress, but I still can’t see my site. Was this the correct thing to do, and if so, when will I be able to see my site again? Also, why did the transfer fail in the first place?

    Now when I visit my website, I am getting error messages say that there are too many redirect loops and that the DNA lookup has failed. Can someone please help me?
