Domain transfer delay

I want to set up a new website but wait to transfer my domain until it is finished to insure it keeps working while I’m doing the setup here – and I’d prefer to get actual customer service instead of using forums. Are there not actual employees you can talk with instead of using public forums? If I’m going to pay for a website, I’d like to not spend time messing with public forums and get direct assistance. That doesn’t seem to be an option. And the nightmare of getting an actual person to assist is one of the reasons I want to leave Weebly
