Domain transfer domain admin email not mine
-
I’m trying to transfer my domain to siteground, and they are asking if I have access to the Domain Administrative email or not, but they are listing it as domainabuse [at] automattic [dot] com
On a Whois lookup my email is listed, but it’s the 3rd of 3. How can I get sitegrounds to see *my* email, rather than the wordpress ones?!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thanks for verifying the domain.
The contact details connected to this domain can be found here:
https://wordpress.com/domains/manage/rohanchadwick.com/contacts-privacy/rohanchadwick.wordpress.comThese are the instructions to transfer your domain away from WordPress.com and to a new registrar: https://en.support.wordpress.com/move-domain/transfer-domain-registration/
Have you already generated a transfer code?

Hi, thanks for the reply, but if you’d read my first post you’d realise I’ve done all that. My problem is that WordPress have got some default emails attached to the domain, and they are the ones that my new host is seeing, not mine. The option to change those emails isn’t in my wordpress account, which is why I’m asking for help.
Thanks, Rohan

Good morning Rohan –
The email address connected to your domain is the one listed at https://wordpress.com/domains/manage/rohanchadwick.com/contacts-privacy/rohanchadwick.wordpress.com
I do not know why Siteground is using the domain abuse email. That email address is found for all of the domains registered through us and is not unique to your domain. Have you been in touch with them directly about this question?

Hi, thanks for the response.
I haven’t contacted Siteground yet as my initial thought was that it was an issue on the WordPress end of things listing the email wrong, but I’ll get onto them now.
Thanks for clearing it up!
