    Here is the guide to explain you to transfer you Domain, it has various options too, Transfer Domain to Another Registrar

    Hi 3deationlabs,

    I can see pavanraheja has already given you instructions for transferring your domain to another registrar.

    Newly registered domains can only be transferred 60 days after the registration date. This 60 day lock is required by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and cannot be waived.

    In the meantime, the name servers for your domain can be pointed to another site:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/change-name-servers/

    at pavanraheja, I need an EPP code. I cant find it at the link you gave me, that link was instructions to change name servers. I need the EPP code.

    I need the EPP code.

    In order to receive an EPP code, you will need to follow the steps in the guide @pavanraheja linked to:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/transfer-domain-registration/

    An EPP code will be emailed to you once the transfer process has been started.

    that link was instructions to change name servers

    I included that link in case you wanted to point the name servers to another site before the transfer. Your name servers are already pointing to HostGator so you won’t need to do this unless you want to use the domain for another site.

    Ive clicked the button several times, I even changed the email address to another one. I have no epp code, how long does it take to receive it ?

    It appears our registrar placed a transfer lock on the domain when it was recovered from redemption a few days ago. I’ve sent an email asking them to remove the lock and I’ll let you know when I receive a reply.

    Hi gemmacevans,
    I found two emails from wordpress with the same code but the emails were sent to a different email address.

    Please note:

    1. on my wordpress account, I was using (email visible only to moderators and staff) as my email address.

    2. last night i changed that to (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    3. this morning the epp code email was sent to (email visible only to moderators and staff) twice.

    These are my email addresses which I use for different projects.

    So did I receive the correct code ?

    Ok,ive gone ahead and submitted the code i received to hostgator. i just wanted to check if it was the correct code being that it was sent to my third email address even though ts not on my wordpress account. Thanks.

    Hi 3deationlabs,

    I found two emails from wordpress with the same code but the emails were sent to a different email address.

    The EPP code was sent to the email address you chose for the domain contact details when it was first registered ((email visible only to moderators and staff)). This is different to the email address you are using for your WordPress.com account. It’s okay that they are different but it does mean you need to check the other address for emails about the transfer.

    Yes, that’s right.

    ive gone ahead and submitted the code i received to hostgator.

    The transfer lock needs to be lifted before the domain will transfer successfully. I’ll let you know as soon as I receive an update about that.

    Depending on when the transfer lock is lifted and HostGator process the transfer, there may not be any issues. But if they reply and say the domain is locked, it’s something we are working on.

    Staff are able to see the email addresses but they aren’t visible to the public :)

    Our registrar has removed the transfer lock so you should be able to proceed now.

    I was asked to disable privacy by the other registrar. Is that the lock that you removed ?
    If not, can you please disable privacy ?
    if not, how can I do it myself ?

    I’ve just disabled private registration for you — that’s different to the transfer lock.
