Domain Transfer Failed

    Hello,

So today I tried to transfer my domain name from GoDaddy, to WordPress. I had just bought the personal plan so I could use my new domain name. I received this message:

    Howdy!

You asked to transfer the domain theworldwideblog.com to WordPress.com. The transfer was not confirmed on time, so it was canceled automatically. There was no change to your domain.

We refunded £0.00 for the domain transfer on World Wide Blog. It may take 7-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account.

When I go back to transfer it again I now have to pay £15?

Was wondering if anyone could help me.

    Best wishes,

    Sam

  • Hey Sam! Thanks for letting us know. I’m actually not seeing the refund on this side, which makes sense, since the domain was included with the plan.

You should be able to re-attempt the transfer with the domain credit in place, and I’ll have our emails team check to see why that message was sent.

Let us know if you need more help with this!

    Hello,

I only have the option for Mapped Domain for free and the option for domain transfer says I have to pay the £15 fee?

    Best wishes,

    Sam

  • Hi Sam –

I made an adjustment on our end. Can you try again and let me know if more help is needed. Thanks so much.
