domain transfer from another site

    I purchased a domain through squarespace but now want to use it for my wordpress website. I currently have a free wordpress website, but now I want to update and purchase a theme. How do I do this? Do I cancel the domain I have purchased through squarespace and create a new one though wordpress? Or do I keep the one through squarespace and somehow link it to wordpress? Not sure what to do.

    Hi there,

    Definitely don’t cancel the domain; it’s tricky/impossible to get them back.

    Instead, you might transfer it to a registrar like Hover.com or GoDaddy.

    Once that’s completed, it only takes a few steps to connect your domain name to your WordPress.com site.
