Domain transfer from .com to .org

    Hello – I have a domain name registered for wordpress.com but I want to actually use wordpress.org. is there a way I can transfer the domain to the .org and delete the .com?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    You can definitely use your WordPress.com registered domain with a self-hosted site. Domains cannot be transferred within 60 days of purchase so you will not be able to transfer it right away. However, in the meantime, you can change the name servers to point to your self-hosted site as described here:

    Then, 60 days after registration, you can transfer it as described here:

    Also, I noticed you have a Premium bundle active on your account. If you’re moving to a self-hosted site, you will not need this bundle. Would you like me to remove it from your account (I’ll leave the domain intact) so you will not be charged moving forward?
