domain transfer from other registrar

    My domain is shown as locked while i try to transfer. It has been unlocked and also nameservers has been updated. My domain is stunninglifestyle.in registered with GoDaddy. Please help.

    Hi there,

    If I do a Whois lookup of your domain, it shows the domain status is serverTransferProhibited

    If you look at the official ICANN documentation for domain status codes you’ll see that status means:

    This status code prevents your domain from being transferred from your current registrar to another. It is an uncommon status that is usually enacted during legal or other disputes, at your request, or when a redemptionPeriod status is in place.

    This has nothing to do with whether your domain is locked or unlocked. This is a special status that’s set on the domain at the registry, and it will prevent your domain from being transferred even if it’s unlocked. This is completely out of our control.

    To remove that lock, please contact GoDaddy support and ask them to contact the .in registry to remove that lock from your domain. If GoDaddy support doesn’t believe you, feel free to point them to my explanation and the links I gave you in this thread.
