Domain transfer issue

  Hi

  I am trying to transfer my domain from where I brought it from to WordPress. However, when I put in the authorisation code and continue. It asks for a payment and I am not buying anything, I am just transferring the code?

  I wanted to know how I can transfer the domain successfully without the cost involved?

  Hi there,

  Transferring a domain you already own to your WordPress.com site requires a paid plan. Each paid plan comes with a free domain credit you can use to either register a new domain or transfer/map one you already own.
