Hello, I transferred my domain from wordpress to wix, but the wordpress website was connected to the domain and I can’t get into the wordpress account at the moment. It was probably deleted after the transfer. Is it possible to somehow find the old website as a template. It would help me a lot. Thank you for answer

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

    Hi there,

What is the account username or URL of the site that you believe has been deleted? I can check and verify that it has been deleted and provide options for potentially recovering the site and account, if possible.

    Let us know, thank you!

    Hi there,

I did not see anything in our system matching that URL I’m afraid. Maybe we can try something different.

I transferred my domain from wordpress to wix, but the wordpress website was connected to the domain and I can’t get into the wordpress account at the moment.

What is the URL of the domain you transferred? We may be able to look up your account that way and take a closer look. Thanks for the additional info!

Thanks for that! To avoid confusion, there are three different “WordPress” at play here:

    1. The free, open-source WordPress software which powers your website.
    2. WordPress.org which is the open-source project that works on the WordPress software and where you can get the software for free to use on your own hosting provider.
    3. WordPress.com which is a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software and with whom you’re contacting now.

Since your site is not hosted with us, we’re limited in what we can help with and advise. But I can get you pointed in the right direction to get help.

I would recommend reaching out to your prior domain registrar and asking them if they have the history of your domain’s nameserver records. That should give you some insight where your WordPress site was previously set up. Hopefully you hadn’t cancelled the hosting account for that site, so the data should still be there.

    I hope that helps!
