Domain Transfer Issue
-
I am trying to transfer a domain – stoneflowercommunications.com – to HostGator. I was able to edit michaelwilkinsonblog, but stonecommunications.com does not show up in my pull-down list, nor does it have an edit button.
How do I unlock and edit the stoneflowercommunications.com domain?
Ultimately, I need to obtain an authorization code to transfer this. Thanks very much. I have the WhoIs info if that’s helpful, but I’m sure you have ready access to it as well.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

And just to be sure, have you followed these instructions exactly:

Thanks for your note root josh.
I have tried to follow the directions and they worked for my blog domain.
However, the stoneflowercommunications.com domain (hosted at WordPress according to Domains by Proxy and Wild West Domains and which has WordPress name servers according to WhoIs) does not show up in my domain list. It does, however, show up on my sites dashboard.
The trouble I am having is not that I can’t find instructions. They are quite helpful. The issue is that I can’t even find the domain/domain settings for the site at WordPress.com. I think I know how to change them if I could find them. -
So, you do not see the domain listed when you view this page:

I am having exactly this issue ! I am trying to transfer my blog (www.thewrittenreference.com) which is currently hosted by WordPress over to GoDaddy. However I don’t have the necessary Transfer Authorisaton Code on record and seem unable to get it. The reason is that the email that is associated with the Domain Contact Information in WordPress is no longer valid (it is an old member of staff) and I am unable to change it (when I make the change it just reverts back to the previous email). I seem to have no way of contacting WordPress to solve this !!!!
I have contacted Wild West Domains in the US but they say they are unable to help as they simply are a re-seller for WordPress and although they are listed as the Registrar they have no control or access.

rootjosh,
Thank you for your help. I was able to move it once I actually found it. The issue was the pull down menu that showed my other domain was blank when I tried to find stoneflower. I accidentally double-clicked on the blank field and voila….there it was…the stone flower option in the pull down. Then I got to that domain page and was able to start the transfer.
Again, thanks for your efforts on my behalf.

The account you are posting from is not the owner of thewrittenreference.com. So that is likely your first issue.
