Domain transfer issues

  HELP! I purchased the $18 package with wordpress to discover that I wouldn’t be able to get http://www.sairahayatkhan.com through that package so I cancelled and purchased the $99 package but the domain http://www.sairahayatkhan.com is not working. The old domain http://www.sairahayatkhan.wordpress.com is the only one that is working. Its been over three days and no one has gotten back to me. I need to launch my blog soon and I’ve had no luck getting in touch with anyone to find out whats happening.

  Hi there!

  I don’t see the domain sairahayatkhan.com on your WordPress.com account. You can add it by going to Store > My Domains. You won’t need to pay for this, since you have the WordPress.com Premium plan.

  Domain changes usually take several hours to fully take effect (and theoretically can take up to 72 hours).

  Once that has gone through you can edit your primary domain name from Store > My Domains.

  Hi I’ve done that but for some reason it still doesn’t work. The page just doesn’t come up. Do you think you can do it for me?

  Unfortunately, I can’t register a domain for you because you need to input your full address and other contact information.

  Can you try clicking directly on this link:

  https://sairahayatkhan.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains

  If that still doesn’t load, can you take a screenshot? You can simply upload the screenshot to your Media Library, like any other image, and I’ll be able to access it from there.

  Then can you try adding the domain through this link instead:

  Custom Domains [Redirects to Domain Reg Support Page]

  Hi there!

  There was something weird with your domain credit on your account. You shouldn’t have to pay to add a domain to your account since one is included in your Premium plan.

  I think I’ve got you straightened out. Can you try again?

  Hi. Thank you Shawna, its worked. In terms of my domain account, i purchased a premium plan with a 20% off coupon for the month of march and in checkout it gave me a rate (i think $72) before i confirmed. I just checked my credit card to see that I’ve been charged $99. How do i get this sorted out?

  I refunded part of the cost to bring it down to $72 for you. :)
