domain transfer problem

I seem to be going round in circles with no solutions…

I recently have tried to transfer my domain to GoDaddy but the admin email that they have received back is a proxy email and is blocking them from doing the transfer.

    The message reads:

To complete this transfer, we need approval of the administrative contact for this domain name. However, the administrative email address obtained from your current registrar is invalid, or could not be obtained.

The current administrative email address is xxxxxxxx.

After you update the administrative email address on file for this domain at your current registrar, you may reinitiate this transfer. “

I have spoken to Google as the site was purchased through them (so I thought) on the wordpress site but they said i had to contact wordpress. I cannot find anywhere through wordpress or google where i can change this – everything is set up through them exactly how i did it when i went through the process – with the correct email and whatnot.

When i try to change the privacy settings it just says to contact support – which there’s no direct option to do…frustrated isn’t the word…

    Can someone please help?
    thanks

The domain, philippabennett.com, is registered through Wild West Domains which is the registrar that WordPress.com uses so you’re at the right place. However, the transfer process you’ve described seems different than the steps listed on this support page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/transfer-domain-registration/

If you’re not able to successfully transfer your domain using that guide, add “modlook” to the tags section of this forum thread to let a staff member know you need assistance.
