Domain transfer problems

WordPress has blocked my domain from being transferred to Bluehost because I’m within 30 days of renewing. How do I get them to unblock it for me so I can continue my transfer?

Sure, I’ll be happy to see what I can do! We don’t normally lock domains except in some extreme cases or when there is a registry-mandated reason (such as the 60 day lock when a domain is first purchased). Have you tried unlocking your domain and it failed?

Thank you in advance. Yes I tried unlocking it twice yesterday and both times it said that it was unlocked on my end but Bluehost showed it was still locked so I couldn’t complete the transfer. Any advice?

That actually confirms what I suspected, which is that your domain is part of an issue which we’re having with our registrar partner. It’s very specific; domain locking is having problems for a few of our customers. The good news is that we already have developers working on it. I’ve added your account to our list of affected accounts, so as soon as we have any additional information, I’ll let you know!

I will wait for your word on it then. Do you think I will have issues come my expiration date (Aug 9)?
