Domain Transfer Refund
-
I paid $19 for a domain transfer that never happened. I’m looking to transfer my domain to another site because WordPress isn’t what I was looking for, but it’s still with the old company. I don’t want to transfer the domain to WordPress, I just want a refund for the $19. How do I do that?

Hi there,
What is the domain, and to what WordPress.com site did you try to transfer it? The
daxmiiaccount you’re using to post here has never bought any upgrades from us, so there’s no transactions in this account to refund: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing/ -
The domain is daxmii.com, and I tried to transfer it to https://ddaxmii.wordpress.com/. I do have an email receipt from PayPal from when I paid for the transfer, so it’s odd that it’s not showing up haha

Hi there,
You are logged in to another account that’s not associated with that purchase. Please log in to the correct account so we can further assist you.
If you cannot access that other account of yours please follow our Account Recovery guide:
-
I’m not aware of having another account, and this is the account that has access to my WordPress site.
-
The account you’re currently logged in (@daxmii) has the daxmii.wordpress.com site. There’s another account that owns ddaxmii.wordpress.com (see the second d ?).
Since you purchased a domain transfer on that account, then you can provide us with the transaction ID as a proof of ownership so we can restore access to it.
Follow these instructions to retrieve that transaction ID from your card statement or your PayPal account:
and then send it to us through this form:
https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
Please DO NOT POST any transaction details in this public forum. Use the form I linked above.
-
Oh shoot, my bad! I completely overlooked the url being slightly different. Thank you so much!
-
Okay so I got the login for my other account and I have the transaction ID but I still don’t see the domain on that website.

You’re not seeing the domain because it’s still registered through Enom. Our logs show that the transfer process failed. This might be because your domain is newly registered and cannot be transferred for 60 days. This 60 days lock is required by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and cannot be waived. Please contact your registrar regarding the status of your domain.
In the meantime, you can point the domain to your WordPress.com site by mapping it. Here’s how that works:
