Domain transfer request canceled?

Hi there,
I posted last week about transferring my domain to Hostpapa. The transfer was initiated successfully but then I recently got an email from WordPress saying that I had canceled the request? I didn’t do this manually so I’m not really sure what’s going on. Is there a way to check whether the transfer is still in progress? I talked to HostPapa and everything looks fine on their end but I’d like the reassurance from WordPress that the transfer is still going.Thanks.

Hi there,
Our logs show you cancelled the transfer on 3 August. This could only have been done from My Site ->Domains and only your account can perform this action – not even staff can make changes to a transfer that is in progress. Is it possible you accidentally clicked something while checking something on the domain?
From what I can see on our end the transfer is no longer in progress. The domain is pointed to HostPapa, but it’s still registered with us. Can you try entering the transfer code again on HostPapa’s end?

Hi again,
I got the email very early on the morning of August 3rd. Is it possible to see what time the cancellation occurred? At this point I am concerned that my account has been compromised.

Sorry to add on to the thread but I also wanted to say that I got another email this morning saying that “Account Settings were modified” for my account. I’m not sure what this is referring to either…

Hi there,
I tried re-initiating the transfer but now my host is saying my transfer code is invalid and I need a new one. Clicking the “resend code” button in the Domains section just sends me the same code over and over again. Please advise.

The old code is likely cached in the browser. Can you try to clear out the browser cache and then use the “resend code” option?
Another option would be to temporarily use a different browser and see if it works.

Hi,
I tried clearing the cache and resending the code on two different computers. Also tried Chrome to no avail.
I’ve done some poking around the forums and found some posts that seem similar to mine:

I’ve sent you an email so we can confirm the code you’re using – as the code can be used by anyone to transfer your domain, it cannot be shared here in the public forums.
