Domain transfer to another registrar

Hi,
I’m trying to transfer my domain over to another registrar. I’ve unlocked my domain and verified that the Administrative contact info on the domain is as it should be. I received the authorization code to initiate the domain transfer, which I submitted to the new registrar. The new registrar has confirmed receipt of this and that the domain transfer process has begun. The holdup is that I’m supposed to be receiving a verification email to that same address, asking me to verify and accept the domain transfer. So far, that has not happened (it’s been weeks). I have tried this whole process twice, and both times the new registrar reports that the transfer fails because it was never accepted. I have checked my junk mail folders etc, just to make sure the emails weren’t getting buried in there (which would be strange because, like I said, I receive the initial email containing the authorization code), and still no luck. I really hope somebody can help!

Who are you transferring to, and did you follow the guide at http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/transfer-domain-registration/ ?
