Domain transfer when moving from WP.com to WP.org
-
Hello!
We’d like to move from 1thingtodo.wordpress.com to a self-hosted WP.org website. Currently, our .com-blog is connected to the domain 1thingtodo.de. However, we’d like to use 1thingtodo.de for our WP.org now instead.
To move to WP.org, I’ve already set up a database as well as a SFTP user at my webspace/domain provider. However, FileZilla does not connect to the WP.org server at 1thingtodo.de. Also when I’m trying to reach the WP.org log-in on 1thingtodo.de/wp-login.php, I’m still getting reffered to the WP.com backend.
That’s why I think I need to disconnect 1thingtodo.de and the WP.com blog, don’t I? – However, in contrast to the solutions of similar forum requests, I cannot click on a “Domain Transfer” link in the “My Domains” section of the WP.com backend to get a transfer code, unfortunately.
Moreover, I already changed the name servers at my domain provider but 1thingtodo.de is still connected to the WP.com blog.
Anybody got an idea how to solve this?
Thanks in advance!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

1thingtodo.de is not registered through WordPress.com, it is just mapped here. Domain Mapping is the upgrade you would purchase if you wanted to use a domain registered elsewhere (GoDaddy or 1and1 for example) with your WordPress.com site.
To point your domain to your new webhost, you will need to update the nameservers at your domain registrar.
