domain transferring unavailable?

Hello.
I’m trying to transfer my domain to wordpress, but it says that transferring domains ending with .com is unavailable..
is it Temporary?
I really want my domain to be here in wordpress..another question, for now I had to make mapping for my domain.. can I change it later and fully transfer it to wordpress?

I tried to transfer again, it says about my domain (already connected to this site.)
do I have to un-map my site or something?

Domain transfers are currently still disabled – as @themagicrobot said above, the entire domain industry are switching their systems over to be compliant with GDPR, and it’s proving more complicated than anticipated.
If all goes well we should start allowing transfers-in within the next 24 hours, but it might be better to wait a few days.
In the meantime you can start your site and connect your domain using the domain mapping upgrade instead so you can start using it. If you add the domain mapping as the free domain in your plan you should be able to transfer the domain to us once that option is re-enabled at no additional cost.

Sure, I can wait few days, no rush.. I was just worried because I thought I’ll never be able to transfer due to new policies or something..
For now I’ll wait til everything is totally fine, I’ve already mapped the domain.Thank you all for your answers and explaining.

Excellent. Everything is looking good on our end, so the transfer should complete soon. You might be able to speed up the process – your current provider should have sent you an email as well when the transfer started, and some providers offer an option to allow you to accept a transfer that way so it’s processed immediately.

The transfer is successfully done.. it was faster than I thought it will be..
