Domain Transfers and Mapping
-
I’m new to WordPress and and not tech savvy. I’m trying to figure how to set up a domain I own with WordPress. I’d like to use WordPress for my blog. My domain already points to my landing page. From there, I have 2 external links, one which is http://www.boxes.aphroditeanderotes.com which goes to a site that hosts my subscription boxes. Which option do I choose so that I can point http://www.blog.aphroditeanderotes.com to WordPress? Or does it make sense for me to just use a WordPress URL?

Hi there – Welcome to WordPress.com! I’d like to clarify a few things to make sure we’re on the same page. :)
It sounds like you already have a site at https://aphroditeanderotes.com – In fact, that looks like the landing page you are referring to.
It sounds like from that page you are wanting to have two jumping points:
1. boxes.aphroditeanderotes.com
2. blog.aphroditeanderotes.com
Those types of URLs are what is referred to as “subdomains”. That is to say that they use and rely on your primary domain (aphroditeanderotes.com).
Question 1: It sounds like you would like the subdomain ‘blog.aphroditeanderotes.com’ to display a blog tied to your main site, is that right?
Question 2: Have you already started building a WordPress blog somewhere, or are you wanting to build one here at WordPress.com?
