    Hello

Is this regarding the site nbaleaddotcom.wordpress.com? Did your domain expire? Is so, see if this helps: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/

If not, please give some more details about what happened

Yes I believe it had expired without my knowledge. We were using an old email address so I did not check properly. Website is currently down I’m trying to see if they could get put back up at least for a couple of days until I get this matter fixed

Hey no one has contacted me!

  • Hi there,

Is this for the domain, nbalead.com? That domain has already entered redemption with our registrar, so while we can still get it back for you, we need to pay our registrar $80 to restore it. Please let me know if you agree to that fee and I can get the process started.

I actually paid a renewal fee of $26 and I have the domain once again. Just needed to make sure everything was set was my DNS pointing back to my host Siteground. I got My domain back but for some reason my site is still not up yet!!!

So my host tell me the domain is fine but that since I change the DNS address it is now propagating. Is this correct?

Name server changes usually take 24 to 48 hours to fully start working. This period, called propagation, is the projected length of time it takes for root name servers and cache records across the entire web to be updated with your website’s DNS information. Because of propagation, not all visitors will be directed to your new name servers on your new hosting account; some visitors will continue to be directed to your old name servers on your old hosting account until propagation is complete.

How quickly visitors are directed to the new name servers depends on their physical location, internet service provider and some luck; it is not something Siteground has control over. Once propagation is complete, your site will appear on our server and your email will be fully functional.

There is no definitive way to tell when propagation is complete. During the first 48 hours, even if you are able to see your site on the new server, your next door neighbor might still be seeing the site on the old server.

  • Your domain is not back. My colleague sent you a link to pay for the domain’s renewal on 14 December, but you only paid it today.

Between us sending you the link and you paying the domain has gone into redemption. In other words, you waited too long to pay. Your domain is now no longer on our system, and it will be deleted completely unless we pay the registrar the $80 fee to get it back.

The upgrade you added yesterday is only a domain mapping. It did not reactivate your domain. The only way to reactivate your domain is for us to email our registrar and ask them to restore it.

  • I’m closing this thread as you also have an open email ticket with us. I’ll follow up there.
