domain trouble
-
I recently canceled a domain I bought. When I Google my company the old domain comes up with the unfinished blog. How do I delete that?
Also how can I use a domain I bought on wordpress.com for another site? Do I really have to wait 2 months to transfer?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You’re probably seeing a cached page. You need to contact Google to remove that, as the cached page exists on their servers, not WordPress.com’s.
Also how can I use a domain I bought on wordpress.com for another site? Do I really have to wait 2 months to transfer?
To completely transfer the domain you must wait 60 days, yes – this is an ICANN rule and WordPress.com can’t do anything about it – but you can map your domain to another host even while it’s still registered here. See here for instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-domain/

Dear WordPress.com
My name is Christina and I purchased the following domain:
http://www.hourglassbarbie.com from you.
I have built a site on Wix.com.
Please connect my domain to the following DNS (name servers):
NS2.WIXDNS.NET
NS3.WIXDNS.NETThank you,
ChristinaPS: I am not asking for a domain name transfer/redirect.
I want to remain with you as my domain name host. -
You can actually do this yourself via the My Domains section of the dashboard. If you read a little further in the support doc I linked for you above, you’ll see it contains a link to the support doc on updating your name servers: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/change-name-servers/
This way your domain will still be registered with WordPress.com, but it will point to your site hosted with Wix.com. Please let us know if you run into any trouble with that.
Keep in mind that you might have to buy and upgrade or change some settings at Wix.com as well to complete the process. Please read their support documents/contact their support staff for help with issues on that end.

I changed the servers and on my wix account it says the site is registered with hourglassbarbie.com but when I type it on the search engine it doesn’t come up.
-
First, it can take up to 72 hours for a name server change to take effect, so please wait a couple of days to see whether your Wix site appears at your domain. (I see at the moment it’s still pointing to WordPress.com.) If after that time it’s still not working correctly, let us know.
Also keep in mind that search engines will need to re-index your site at Wix. This can take as long as six weeks, depending on how regularly you post new content and on how often Wix pings search engines to crawl your site. But your site won’t appear in search results until it has been re-indexed. I suggest you search the Wix support docs/forums for advice on how to speed up the process.

i had the blog hourglassbarbie.wordpress.com but then changed the domain. Now i want that domain again but it says its reserved?
when i google hourglass barbie to old blogs of mine come up which i dont want them to.
how can i fix this and get my old domain back> -
also when i go to account settings, it says my web address is displayed as hourglassbarbie.wordpress.com but when i view my site it doesnt say that
-
https://hourglassbarbie.wordpress.com/ already exists. If you’re the owner, you need to be logged as the account that registered that blog to access it. If you’re not the owner, staff won’t transfer that blog to you.
Your custom domain, http://www.hourglassbarbie.com/, redirects to the deleted blog placeholder page for https://hoirglassbarbie.wordpress.com/, which I’m guessing is the old blog you deleted. There is no way to get that address back as blog deletion is permanent.
I see the name servers for that domain are still pointed to WordPress.com, not to Wix.com as you indicated earlier, so I’m going to tag this for staff to help you further with that. Please be patient while waiting for them to respond.

Hi Christina,
You own the domain hourglassbarbie.com here at WordPress.com, so you can manage it from your My Domains page. However, before you can change that domain to point it to Wix, you’ll need to verify your email address through the ICANN verification email you received. I just resent you that verification email.
Once that’s done, you’ll be able to update your domain’s name servers to point to Wix, or let me know and I can help you with that step.
i had the blog hourglassbarbie.wordpress.com but then changed the domain. Now i want that domain again but it says its reserved?
The blog address hourglassbarbie.wordpress.com is owned by a different WordPress.com account, not your account hourglassbarb. You’ll need to log in to the account that owns that blog to manage it.
You can change the web address listed in your account settings at any time, and you’re welcome to enter any address you choose. That won’t change your blog’s address, but it will change the link that appears with your username, for example when you post in the forums here or comment on someone else’s blog.
Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)

When i went on my wix site, it was connected to hoirglassbarbie.wordpress.com which is not the domain i chose to point to wix. I am really upset because i paid $18 for a domain and when i go to my domains, it does not show i own it
-
I changed my name servers for the SECOND time. i do not want to wait another 72 hours and have wix point to the wrong website.
-
You definitely own the domain hourglassbarbie.com, which you can find on your WordPress.com My Domains page, and you are welcome to point it to Wix. I see you verified your email, so I just pointed your domain to the Wix DNS you mentioned earlier. That points your domain to Wix so you can use there. (Please note it may take up to 72 hours for that domain change to take full effect.)
It sounds like the wrong domain may have been added on Wix’s end, though. At Wix.com, make sure you add your domain hourglassbarbie.com with the steps in their support guide:
If you run into any trouble with that process, you can contact Wix support for help making sure the right domain is listed at Wix.

When you change your domain’s name servers (to point the domain to Wix) that change has to propagate around the world, and doesn’t happen instantly. It can take up to 72 hours for that change to take effect all over the world, so in the meantime you might still see your WordPress.com site when you visit your domain at http://hourglassbarbie.com/.
-
even when i click on hourglassbarbie.com from wordpress it leads me to hoirglassbarbie.wordpress.com
As if the domain did not exist, I would like this fixed asap
-
I made this change OVER 72 hours ago and now is when I started seeing the hoirglassbarbie.wordpress.com blog show up on my site. Why is it still showing then? Can someone fix this?
-
Hi Christina,
Just to clarify, any changes you made to point your domain to Wix before today wouldn’t have worked, because your email address wasn’t verified for that domain. Now that your email address is verified, the change can take effect and within 72 hours you’ll start seeing your Wix site (instead of the WordPress.com site) when you go to hourglassbarbie.com.
