Domain troubles

I set up my website with wordpress, and designed my website using one of the free templates. Recently, I transferred my domain to google. Now, my website is not visible, and I get the message: ‘Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain. ‘. An assistant on Google suggested that I may need to upgrade my account with WordPress for my site to be seen. I thought, however, that because I have a free template, I would not need to pay for my account. Any suggestions?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

What is the domain name of the site you transferred to Google?

    The domain is foodiemordi.com

  • I have set domain mapping back up for you. Please be aware that the upgrade expires 2016-08-11. So you will need to renew it before then.

Thank you for setting that up. I am quite a novice and I am really unsure what it is that I need to do (I’m only vaguely familiar with what domain mapping is, let alone how to go about doing it). I would appreciate additional guidance. Thanks in advance!

  • If you go here:

    https://wordpress.com/purchases/

…you should see the upgrade and have an option to renew it.

Let me know if you have any trouble.

I see the option to upgrade, thank you. It seems like a bit of a rip off though, to charge $13/year for a few lines in a configuration file though. Is there any way WordPress can knock that price down to what it is really worth?
