Domain unavailable
-
Hi, I’ve canceled domain on ‘wordpress.com’ to host the wordpress blog by myself. According to ‘who.is’, the domain is available now. But the address still redirect to my blog (which is deleted as well). Is something wrong? or I can’t use this domain anymore. Thanks

Can you update domain URL in question , if the domain available , did you try to check if its cache issue.

“titanslator.com”
It is available with other registrars but GoDaddy. I want to buy GoDaddy’s package with free domain included. I don’t know how to check if it’s cache issue. -
I just registered with GoDaddy and installed WordPress. “This domain is parked with Automattic” is still on my website. What do I need to do?

Hi there,
I tried to access to your site(=titanslator.com), and I could see the WordPress site. The message of “This domain is parked with Automattic” didn’t show up.
Is the issue still remaining?
-
Now it shows certificate error. I think there’s nothing to do with WordPress.com anymore, I will contact GoDaddy instead. Thanks for all replies.

Hi again,
That’s right. It’s better to contact with GoDaddy about the problem.
Since you are running your site with WordPress.org software now, you can ask help in the forum of WordPress.org next time you face a problem.
Thanks!

Hi there,
That domain is not on our system any more. Cancelled domains are not released immediately, but this particular domain appears to have been released about 12 hours ago.
That said, it might not immediately show as available at all registrars. The APIs registrars use to check on the availability of domains limit them in how often they can check, so all registrars cache information on domain availability. That means it can often be a day or to after a domain becomes available before it will show as available at a registrar.
Try contacting GoDaddy and ask if there’s a way they can check manually for this domain, otherwise you might need to wait another day or two before you can register it with them.
