Domain Unregistered, But Charged

    Developers, good night!

    Today I was charged US$ 26,78 for a domain that I was trying to obtain, but in my page doesn’t exist any new registered domain… My bank sent to me a SMS to inform that I was charged, but nothing was done by yours, I mean, my domain simply doesn’t exist.

    How do you proceed in this case?

    2. What is the underlying .wordpress.com URL?
    3. Exactly which username account registered the underlying .wordpress.com blog and purchased the upgrade for it?
    4. When was the upgrade purchased?
    5. When did the refund request and upgrade cancellation take place?

    Hi there,

    I can see two payment attempts in your account dated yesterday, but both were blocked by PayPal. You will please need to contact them to follow up on that.

    If a payment did go through, it was not made using this account. Do you have another account? If not, what is the domain you tried to register?

    No, I don’t have any other account… I tried to register the following domain: escritalibre.com (formerly escritalibre.wordpress.com).

    But still doesn’t exist.

    Answering the questions:

    1 – escritalibre.com (formerly escritalibre.wordpress.com)
    2 – escritalibre.wordpress.com
    3 – The username is “crsant”, it’s me.
    4 – It was purchased September 26th.
    5 – I still not made the refund request or cancellation, because I’m waiting further instructions.

    Thanks for confirming the domain. It was definitely not registered, so should still be available for purchase.

    As I explained above, your account shows that the payments were blocked by PayPal, so we never received any payment. Can you please contact PayPal directly about this? If the charge is showing as successful on your statement it could point to a miscommunication between them and your bank.

    Once they reason they’re blocking payments is resolved, you should be able to register the domain. Let me know if you need any more help with that.
