Domain upgrade

  I currently own my own domain. I would like to do the $13 upgrade to have my blog operating under my own domain name. My concern is that I currently have several viral pins on pinterest that are driving a majority of traffic to my blog. Those pins are linked to my current homemakerchic.wordpress.com address. Will those links go dead if I update my blog address to my domain name? I just want to make sure that I don’t lose traffic before I make the switch. Thanks!

  Hi there,

  Even if you map your blog to your custom domain, readers will still be able to access your blog through homemakerchic.wordpress.com. The domain you set as ‘primary’ will be the one that ends up displaying in the browser, but both domains will get to your blog.
