I want to renew my domain mapping but instead of $13.00 I am being charged $99.00. Why is that? Thank you.

Hi there,
I was able to map artbyblanco.com for you. You’ll still need to do a few things:
1) If you haven’t done so already, point the domain to our name servers:
ns1.wordpress.com
ns2.wordpress.com
ns3.wordpress.com2) Be sure to set keep the upgrade to auto renew. The reason you saw the $99 charge is because it defaults to that price if you let your upgrade expire. You can no longer purchase domain subscriptions separate from a plan.
Let us know if you need more help!

Do you see this?
Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.
Or have you allowed a domain to expire?
Allowing a domain to expire
When you allow your domain expire, it then goes through a process that can take several months to complete described at https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/.If you are in the grace period you will not have to agree to pay a redemption fee set by the domain name registrar that wordpress.COM staff cannot waive.
Otherwise, if you want Staff to try to recover the domain for you then you will have to agree to pay the redemption fee.
This thread is tagged this thread in the sidebar with modlook for Staff attention.
If you’re logged into the account that is associated with your expired domain, they will look up its status and get in touch with details.
If you are not logged in under the correct username account then clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies prior to logging into the associated account, and provide the domain URL here.
re: renewing upgrades
You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, renew or cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew. Managing Domains https://en.support.wordpress.com/manage-purchases/#managing-domains
If you are not logged in under the correct username account clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies and then login under the correct username account.
If you do not have the required access you need to contact the person who registered the account and site under it and have them transfer the sites to your username account by using this process. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account
The owner of the site can transfer the site (and/or upgrades) to another account by adding another username account as an Admin. https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator

I’ve just set up a new blog and have purchased a domain from an external host. I was told that you could simply map the domain for £11/pa … yet I’m only offered a yearly Premium membership? Which is over £70 more!
Please tell me there’s something i can do?!
i can’t afford to pay all that? i only need a small blog with my domain…
