Domain URL as is??

  I just got a domain and linked it with my WordPress blog, but it turned out to be very different from what I expected. Let say my domain is “www.abc.com” and I enter that in the URL. Instead of redirecting, taking me to WordPress and appeared as “xxx.wordpress.org” in the end, can the blog just appear as is my own domain name in the URL “abc.com”?

  I saw people using Blogger whose blog URL just appears as their domain URL while they are using Blogger’s service and storage. Wonder if WordPress can do the same?

  Any feedback or idea on that will be appreciated!

  Yup, that’s absolutely possible – you need to log in to your dashboard and go to Options > Domains and then click ‘put blog here’ next to yourdomain.com :)

  You need to “map” your domain to your wordpress.com account – under Options > Domains.
