Domain URL is unsafe due to the images
-
Hello everyone,
I have the problem that the URL of my website mauricegehring.de is displayed as insecure. However, this can only be seen in desktop Firefox and on my iPhone in Chrome.
My domain provider has informed me that the website images are probably causing the problem, as the images were not uploaded in encrypted form.
The images have to be uploaded via SFTP connection as HTTPS. As I am not at all familiar with the technology, I don’t know what to do.
Do I simply have to change the format of the images, for example from JPAG to PNG?
I would be very grateful for your support.
Many thanks in advance. Best regards Maurice Gehring

We can’t help as your site isn’t running on the wordpress.com platform but is self-hosted. Images must be uploaded using the Media Library, not using SFTP.

I have uploaded all images via the media library.
Okay, who can help me with this. I urgently need a solution for this?

@moejoe77 if the images are supported by https but were listed with HTTP, you might need to edit their references in posts and pages, or use a find and replace tool. Going forward, be sure to use the forums for the free, DIY WordPress code instead, as these forums are primarily for our free-tier hosting. Your host may also be able to help with this.
Here’s an overview of our services vs the DIY software, but in short, we provide hosting, maintenance, security, support, and spam filtering, as well as real-time backups depending on the plan you use. If you’re interested in moving your site here, let us know your goals with your site and any questions you have. We can confirm the best plan for your case and recommend your next steps.
Cheers!
