Domain used by a squatter?

    Hi,

    Today I startet to create a new blog.
    My “wish-domain” is: weitgereist.wordpress.com. This Domain is already used by someone else. This blog was opened in 2011 but not in use , there is nothing released, so i think this domain is used by a squatter.

    My question, can you do something for me to get to this Domain or is there a way to get to this by my self?

    We don’t have “domain squatters” here in the traditional sense; they aren’t able to sell that domain to you and we aren’t able to transfer it to you without their permission, not even from our end.

    If you’d be happy with weitgereist.home.blog though you can likely get that name or a variation on it. Let us know if you need help getting that.

    Hi there, you can try leaving a note for the site owner in an open comment or contact form. If the site owner replies positively, they can follow this guide to transfer ownership of the site to you: https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/

    If you do not receive a reply or the reply is negative, nothing further can be done, but it’s worth a try.
