Domain – when will it come back?

    Hi, I’ve just cancelled my premium plan as I wanted to set up with wordpress.org instead. My internet dropped out as I was doing this, and it turns out that I’ve cancelled my plan and my domain, rather than just my plan. The website address is obviously now not available.

    When will it be available to buy again, and is there any way to cancel the cancellation of the domain registration so I can continue to own the domain?

    I have a similar problem.

    Registered and paid for a domain vis wordpress but it mapped it to my other account and I could not find a way do de-map / separate them to create 2 separate websites.

    I tried to cancel the subscription so I could re-register to a new wordpress account and now I have lost the domain. Any advice?

    Hi there!


    @ltlogin    , since you have obtained a full refund, to be able to restore the domain we will need to send you a link to the payment. You also wouldn’t be able to transfer the domain right away as ICANN requires 60 days between registration of a new domain and transfer. You would be able to point the domain to a different host during those 60 days and only transfer it afterward.

    You can also wait a few days more and register your domain again with the desired registrar. New, canceled domains are released after 5 days after the cancelation. Let us know how you’d like to proceed.
