Domain will expire in 30 days — need some info and help
-
I have a http://ImpalBizBuzz.com domain and I was sent an email this morning (10-Sept-18) stating that the domain was expiring. Email was from (email visible only to moderators and staff) The instructions were to login to WordPress.com — choose My Sites — and Domains.
When I did that I get, ‘You don’t have any WordPress sites yet.’
How is that and what do I do now before I lose my site in 30 days on 9-Oct-18?
Also when I was able to click on my site it seems like everything from the admin side has changed. I can’t even find how to write a new blog. I believe there was an Admin button before to start and review old blogs.
Help please!

Hi there,
Phone support isn’t offered on WordPress.com, so it’s highly recommended you do not post your number on a public forum which is indexed by search engines. I’ve tagged staff to redact it.
Staff will also assist you with this issue soon. You should receive a response within a few hours from a staff member. :)

Hi Liz,
I’m still having problems.
When I use the “dfruges” for login it asks for a Password. I don’t have the correct password.
When I ask for a Password Reset — I have no clue where that email is being sent. I have check the Inbox and Spam for all my email accounts. I don’t see a response to reset my password.
Can we agree to use this email as my primary for WordPress:

Hi Dom,
Thanks for trying. If you are unable to remember which email address is connected to the dfruges account or receive password reset emails, please fill out the Account Recovery form:
Once you’ve done so, we can help you recover the account, update the email address and renew the domain. The transaction ID from your last purchase can be submitted to the account recovery form (please do not share that information here) as proof of ownership.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

I have have tried the Account Recovery Form but don’t have the details they are asking for:
Do you have a transaction ID? What’s this?
Do you have an activation URL or key? What’s this?
Do you have two factor authentication codes? What else can I do?

I’m on the phone with my bank trying to find a possible transaction code from 2011!!!
This is completely ridiculous. I can’t supply you with what you want and in today’s modern tech world there is another way to rectify this issue.
Amazing!!

Hi Dom,
You should only look for a transaction from 2017 as the domain purchase was made in October of 2017.
Since you don’t have access to the receipt of that purchase, here’s how to retrieve the transaction ID and submit it in the form:
