Domain with hyphens

    Hi, is it possible to use a domain with a hyphen in WordPress?
    Either through WP or by connecting an external one.

    Example:
    my-site.com

    Thanks

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: No
    Correct account: Yes

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    It is not possible to add a hypen to a wordpress.com address (e.g. my-site.wordpress.com) but yes if it is a custom address you can do that. It is not possible to set a custom address for free WordPress.com sites, those can only use the provided WordPress.com address.

    However, if you upgrade to any of our plans, they include the option to set a custom address. If you choose the yearly (instead of monthly) billing option then a domain is included free for the first year. Since you have not mentioned what goals you have for your site, for now we recommend the Personal Plan, which will let you set a custom address, and also turns off the ads we show on free sites to help cover our expenses.
