  I found this answer from a Staff memeber: “The www subdomain cannot be used as your site’s primary address on WordPress.com, and will always redirect to the non-www version. This is a system-level setting on WordPress.com, and we cannot adjust it for individual sites.”

  Hi there,

  I can confirm the reply above. We don’t support using “www” in your site address on WordPress.com. The “www” version of the domain will work if someone types it into their browser, but the “www” will not be visible in the browser address bar, and search engines will index your site at the non-www version of the domain.
