Domain without www not in sync with domain with www

  Hi there,

  I am facing two issues with my blog:

  Issue #1:
  I just transferred my domain ownership from WordPress.com to GoDaddy, where I am using a Managed WordPress hosting service. After the transfer, I realized that the content on “wastenotinspiration.com” and “www.wastenotinspiration.com” do not match. I posted a new blog post on Sept.19, which shows up on http://www.wastenotinspiration.com, but not on wastenotinspiration.com (without the www.). Ultimately, I would like for the same content to show up on both “www.wastenotinspiration.com” and “wastenotinspiration.com”. I’m thinking this might be a setting I need to change on my WordPress control panel and not on GoDaddy?

  Issue #2:
  On “wastenotinspiration.com”, when I click on the blog banner the first time, I get taken to “waste-not-inspiration.com” (with hyphens). When I click on the blog banner the second time, I get taken to “www.wastenotinspiration.com” (without hyphens, with www). This is very strange, and I would like to standardize it to “www.wastenotinspiration.com” all times.

  www is an old protocol from back when everything was under separate server hardware. www (www.example.com) was the web server, mail (mail.example.com) was the mail server, ftp (ftp.example.com) was the FTP server, print (print.example.com) was the print server, etc. These days, everything is run under the web server, making www. redundant and a waste of four characters. Here at WordPress.COM the “www” is stripped out of the URLs.
