Domain/Contact Change

We recently had a change in management of the website. A former employee was managing the site and now a new employee is managing it. The new employee is trying to make changes by using Google Domains rather than the one we currently use. We have changed the contact information on the site to allow all emails to go to the new site manager, but now we have to wait 60 days for the domain to be released for transfer. The former employee is in good standing and we were wondering if we could somehow undo the contact change so that the domain transfer could take place to Google, or if there is a work around so that the 60 day wait time could be waived. Thank you.

  • Hi – What is the site address? Let’s start there and make sure that it is on WordPress.com servers.

Right now, I have the website set to redirect to a new host. We are no longer hosting through wordpress but I have changed the DNS settings to point to the new website. If you put a “www.” before the domain, the new site comes up without a hitch and secured. But if you dont add the “www.” it says it’s on an unsecure page. At this point, I’ve solved the old problem and run into a new one. How can I redirect without there being a privacy error?

  • Hi –

Both the www and non-www addresses are working for me. Are you still having trouble?
