  How do I use the domaine name I bought on godaddy as my wordpress site address?

  Hi,

  If you want to use a domain that you already own, you need to “map” that existing domain to your site. You will need an upgraded WordPress.com plan on your site in order to map a domain.

  Hi there,

  As thabotswana2013 mentioned, you can ‘map’ the domain to your site with Domain Mapping:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

  You will need an upgraded WordPress.com plan (such as the Personal plan). Each paid plan includes a free domain credit which you can use to map a domain you already own.
