Whether or not you have a custom domain name, WordPress.com doesn’t allow third party Ad networks like Ad Sense. Here’s more information on your advertising options for WordPress.com sites: http://en.support.wordpress.com/advertising/

i see.. so is it better to get a domain with another site? i see only Word ads, you can use.. can you make much on that?
-
I’ve not used word ads, so I’m not sure how much you can make on that specifically. Acceptance into the program also requires a certain level of traffic to your site (I don’t have that info, it’s not divulged by WordPress as far as I know). More info can be found on the WordAds site: http://wordads.co (yes .co, not .com). Your other option would be affiliate (text) links in your posts.
Otherwise, if you need to use Ad Sense or another ad network or direct display ads, then yes, you’d have to strike out on your own with the WordPress.org software.

I have some self-hosted blogs, but I don’t use GoDaddy. WordPress.org has a (short) list of recommended providers: http://get.wp.com/hosting/
If you’re planning to make the jump, here’s some more info on transferring everything:

I’m in the US. I have one site that makes a little, I mostly started with affiliate ads and did alright.

Here’s a summary of the steps you need to take to move your content and your domain mapping to a WordPress.ORG install.WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate. To review all the differences please read http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
1. Hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and purchase a domain.
2. Set up a WordPress.org install and equip it with a theme and plugins.
http://wordpress.org/themes/
http://wordpress.org/plugins/3. To move your content you need to create an XML export file of your content. It will not include the theme and widgets as they cannot be exported. Export your content out of your WordPress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/ and import it into the install.
4. WordPress.com is the top level domain here and all blogs hosted by WordPress.com are on .wordpress.com sub-domains.
(a) Purchase a site redirect upgrade from wordpress.com
http://en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/(b) Or if you have domain mapping then see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-domain/#change-name-servers-to-point-the-domain-outside-of-wordpress-com and here http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-domain/
5. Transfer subscribers. See http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/moving-your-subscribers/
6. Set your wordpress.com blog visibility to private. To change blog visibility to private go to > Settings > Reading scroll to Blog Visibility and choose option 3 . See the guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
Alternatively you can purchase a Guided Transfer and Staff will do the move and set up for you http://en.support.wordpress.com/guided-transfer/
WordPress.com and WordPress.org have different log-ins and run different versions of themes with same names. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

this a good idea? Guided Transfer (less info)
One-time payment One of our Happiness Engineers will transfer your site to a self-hosted WordPress.org installation with one of our partners. They will transfer over all your content, install and configure plugins to support features you have used on WordPress.com, switch your domain(s) over, and provide support on your new WordPress.org install for a two-week period.
do i purchase domain from a site then get wordpress to transfer it? like from wordpress to go daddy

Please read the relevant support doc at this link http://en.support.wordpress.com/guided-transfer/

looks good to get them to do it.. much easier too.. so site be exactly the same.. just on another host? go daddy be ok?
-
how do i find this to migrate my site
FTP credentials
Tell us how to connect to your site to get its files.Host location or IP Address

The document that was posted earlier in the thread does a pretty good job of breaking down what a guided transfer entails: http://en.support.wordpress.com/guided-transfer/
-
it says this: Can I use any web host?
We require your new web hosting account to be with one of our recommended hosts.so will go daddy work ok?

Glad to see you got moved over! When you say views, are you talking about how many people visited your site? If so, you can install the Jetpack plugin to get the WordPress stats for your site. If you want to merge the stats you had on your WordPress.com site with the new one, a staff member can assist with that.
As for installing Ad Sense, you’ll have to consult the help files and forums Google maintains for supporting that system. https://support.google.com/adsense/?hl=en#topic=3373519
